Strategic Human Resources Director

This is a senior leadership position responsible for guiding the development of HR strategies that drive business growth and employee success.
The Director of Human Resources will work in partnership with executive management to proactively assess business performance and develop HR solutions that enable strategic objectives, foster leadership success, and enhance the employee experience.
Broad Responsibilities:
- Develops organizational strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues, contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organizational strategic thinking and direction.
- Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, record retention, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations.
- Oversees human resources operations such as recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing staff job contributions; maintaining compensation; determining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change.
- Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements advising management on needed actions.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a bachelor's degree and three to five years' human resource experience. Alternatively, a master's degree in human resource management and two years' experience in the HR field, or seven years of experience in the HR field would be considered. Any similar combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
This role operates in a professional office environment and requires regular use of standard office equipment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
