Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze open sales orders, purchase orders, vendor claims, and transfers to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Develop and implement warehouse procedures to ensure proper safety protocols and efficient inventory management.
- Collaborate with regional buyers and vendors to obtain product information, negotiate prices, and manage delivery schedules.
- Manage inventory levels, control stockouts, and reduce excessive inventory to optimize storage capacity.
- Perform regular cycle counts to prevent inventory shrinkage and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Manage freight expenses, approve invoices, and resolve Accounts Payable discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Supervise the preparation and loading of orders for shipment and delivery, ensuring compliance with customer instructions.
- Train new employees on warehouse and distribution procedures to ensure seamless onboarding.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to defective or unacceptable goods or services, working with inspection and quality control personnel to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Support sales staff in meeting sales objectives by providing timely and accurate product information and inventory updates.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
- 3-5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in an industrial distribution or warehouse environment.
- Proven track record of managing a team of 5+ employees and overseeing operations for a $5-10 million wholesale warehouse facility.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Knowledge of industrial product lines, such as pool and spa equipment, chemicals, construction materials, and similar tangible goods, is a plus.
