Electrical Project Engineer II

Vanderlande Industries B.V. is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer II to support the North American Warehouse Solutions Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the design meets the customer requirements, is coordinated with other trades to ensure proper operation, can be installed and operated with efficiency, and maintain excellent communication with the site team.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 2 years of related work experience, or an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 5 years of related work experience.
The Electrical Project Engineer II will be responsible for developing code compliant electrical systems that meet the customer specifications, optimizing system functionality, performing system and component level calculations, and applying safety regulations.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for specifying the electrical equipment required for the complete electrical system, documenting all engineering decisions, and supporting the installation and commissioning of the system.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, creativity, strong interpersonal skills, drive, and passion, and be able to work autonomously or in a team.
The Electrical Project Engineer II will also be responsible for project document control using a rights-based database system and will be required to travel domestically up to 50% with occasional international opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop code compliant electrical systems that meet the customer specifications
- Optimize system functionality
- Perform system and component level calculations
- Apply safety regulations
- Specify the electrical equipment required for the complete electrical system
- Document all engineering decisions
- Support the installation and commissioning of the system
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 2 years of related work experience
- Or Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 5 years of related work experience
- Ability to think conceptually and translate this into a detailed system design
- Ability to work in an entrepreneurial organization where cooperating with others and being a team member is natural
- Strong communicator, able to effectively understand and set expectations for deliverables

Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to use AutoCAD Electrical or other drafting tools
- Basic knowledge or familiarity of OSHA 1910/29 Occupational Safety and Health Standards
- Basic knowledge or familiarity of NFPA 70 National Electrical Code (NEC)
