Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative 1 to join our team at The University of Miami. As a key member of our Patient Access department, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient registration processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, addressing concerns and optimizing experiences.
  • Perform on-site patient access registration functions promptly, prioritizing patient safety and quality service.
  • Collect patient financial responsibilities, including co-pays, deductibles, and self-pay discounts, to reduce AR, Bad Debt, and Collection Costs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely patient information.
  • Stay up-to-date with UHealth policies, procedures, and State/Federal regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One (1) year of customer service experience required; experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
