Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Sargent & Lundy. As a key member of our Energy & Industrial Group, you will play a critical role in supporting industry-leading projects in power generation, plant design, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical power systems for new facilities and modifications to existing facilities
  • Perform detailed engineering services for photovoltaic (PV) solar projects and the integration of solar and energy storage
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget
  • Prepare and review functional design drawings, including single line, relay, and metering diagrams
  • Develop and review detailed calculations, including auxiliary power system studies, voltage drop, and arc flash calculations
  • Interface with vendors to prepare bills of material and equipment purchase specifications
  • Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner
Requirements
  • BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program
  • PE license or ability to earn a PE license
  • 10+ years of experience in power plant or industrial plant design, with a focus on integrated, detailed system design
  • Experience with electrical system design, including medium and low voltage distribution systems
  • Experience with ETAP and/or SKM software
