Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Enercon Services, Inc. in Tampa, FL, Lake Mary, FL, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Kennesaw GA, Chattanooga TN, or FT Worth TX locations.

Job Summary:

The Senior Electrical Engineer will coordinate with diverse teams, review designs, and drive technical excellence. This role involves leading and designing power systems at power-generating facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors.
  • Prepare design studies and project scopes.
  • Make recommendations based on knowledge and experience.
  • Direct and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintain quality standards.
  • Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight.
  • Prepare electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications and evaluate technical bids and select equipment.
  • Devise new approaches to technical problems.
  • Broad knowledge of precedents in the industry.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 7 years of power system design experience using electrical modeling software (SKM Power Tools, ETAP).
  • Protection and controls experience.
  • Experience in electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems (NFPA 70 & 70E), and IEEE 1584).
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.
  • Good writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
  • Willing to travel 10%-15% and participate in field installation, checkout, and start-up.
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladders at client sites.
  • Experience with lighting studies, lightning protection, and grounding design preferred.
  • PE License or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment preferred (incentive bonus available).
