Optical Care Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Eyecare Advisor to join our team at Target Optical. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient service and ensuring all patients receive the highest quality of care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient service, ensuring all patients receive the highest quality of care.
- Greet customers promptly and show urgency in providing service to customers and satisfying their needs.
- Determine the reason for the customer's visit and explain how to shop at Target Optical.
- Review prescriptions and patient information carefully, identifying special needs and consulting with optician, Doctor, or Retail Management when necessary.
- Show patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients.
- Perform work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
- Identify situations involving unsatisfied customers and act quickly for resolution.
- Demonstrate knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation/procedures.
- Handle and file all patient records in an organized and efficient manner.
- Place contact lens orders, process shipments, and properly submit invoices for payment.
- Accurately operate the POS system, collecting proper payment and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Take pride in the appearance of the store and show initiative in keeping the displays clean, attractive, and organized.
- Inform management of potential safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
- Comply with all safety and regulatory requirements, ensuring supplies and chemicals are stored and used appropriately.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate good product knowledge and take initiative to accurately describe the features and benefits of various lenses and products.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and management, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly.
- Meet or exceed sales and customer satisfaction targets, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
