About the Job

As an Eye Care Professional, you'll be responsible for filling patient prescriptions for glasses and contact lenses, troubleshooting vision complaints, and assisting patients with the selection of eyewear. You'll also be responsible for taking optical measurements, fitting eyewear, and demonstrating proper cleaning and storage techniques.



Education and Experience

To be successful in this role, you'll need a High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience and one year of optical field or customer service experience. You'll also need to be certified by the American Board of Opticianry (ABO) and the National Contact Lens Examiners (NCLE).



Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. You'll work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated caregivers, and you'll be expected to work in a constant state of alertness and safety.



Benefits

As an Eye Care Professional at SSM Health, you'll enjoy a competitive salary, ranging from $45,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience. You'll also receive comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 401(k) plan and paid time off.
