Position Summary:

Evanhoe and Associates is looking for a Software Engineer to contribute to the Advanced Technical Exploitation Program II (ATEP II) initiative currently being executed at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC).

This role requires onsite presence with shifts scheduled during evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and enhance intricate software systems (e.g., data transfer frameworks, handling of extensive data sets, message processing) in accordance with specified requirements.
    • Operate independently or collaboratively within a team.
    • Evaluate and test software components to ensure compliance with design specifications and document testing outcomes.
    • Address software issue reports.
    • Apply appropriate software development and design methodologies suited to the development context.
    • Contribute insights to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and the analysis and synthesis of requirements from system level to individual software components.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proven experience and/or familiarity with RedHat, Linux, CentOS, and/or UNIX operating systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is essential.
  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
    • Alternatively, four (4) years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, totaling eight (8) years of experience.
  • Required Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Java, C/C++, and Python.
    • Experience in JavaScript (React) web development.
    • Familiarity with RESTful Web Services.
    • Experience with Linux (Red Hat 7/8) systems.
    • Knowledge of MySQL (MariaDB) and PostgreSQL databases.
    • Experience with Git version control.
    • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Security+ certification is preferred.
