The Cost Estimation Specialist plays a crucial role in the Estimating Department, aiding in the formulation of precise, timely, and comprehensive cost assessments for large-scale, intricate heavy civil and mechanical construction projects across various delivery methods, including bid-build, design-build, CM/GC, PPP, and EPC projects. This role involves ensuring the delivery of well-organized estimates, budgets, and schedules while effectively managing Skanska's risk profile. The Cost Estimation Specialist will independently conduct accurate quantity take-offs, prepare subcontractor and vendor scopes of work, and perform quote evaluations. The ideal candidate must meet tight deadlines and possess the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

Required Qualifications for Cost Estimation Specialist:

  • Proven proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated experience with Estimating/Engineering software such as HCSS Heavy Bid, AutoCAD, On Screen Takeoff, or similar tools.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
