Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehend Industrial Procurement Processes.
- Receive, review, and process both routine and complex requisitions and purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services, ensuring thoroughness, accuracy, and adherence to policies.
- Evaluate current material availability and forecast future supply based on market conditions, delivery systems, and other factors.
- Act as the liaison between the organization and the supply chain.
- Draft routine and complex proposals (RFQs), solicit quotes, negotiate purchase terms, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with internal and external project teams while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Generate routine and complex reports; maintain precise inventory and procurement records; oversee a database regarding vendor performance and product quality.
- Analyze quotes and provide recommendations for contract awards.
- Confirm with suppliers that terms and delivery schedules are accurate; make necessary adjustments and monitor orders for timely delivery.
- Input and maintain essential data/records in the company’s procurement system.
- Validate, reconcile, and process receiving reports, vendor invoices, and other payment documentation.
- Document reporting requirements, commodity performance metrics, and vendor evaluations. Maintain and create procurement documents to inform the production team of material constraints and risks.
- Research and identify potential suppliers, assessing products and suppliers based on key business criteria.
- Work with Operations to define strategic goals and objectives. Supplier qualification, development of evaluation and re-evaluation processes, and establishing dual sourcing strategies when necessary.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and report on annualized savings.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred, but not mandatory; applicable experience may substitute for education.
- 3-5 years of progressive, relevant experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills.
- High ethical standards.
- Adaptable to organizational changes.
