Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Nursing courses at our Montgomery campus. As a member of our faculty team, you will be responsible for creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material. You will also be expected to submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner, utilize a course syllabus for each course, and maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position, contingent upon student demand. We offer day, evening, and weekend classes, and instructors are required to meet with classes at all scheduled times and be available to students outside of class instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Nursing courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner
  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or higher in nursing OR Master's degree or higher in any field, with a bachelor's degree in nursing from an approved or accredited baccalaureate program in nursing and at least six (6) graduate semester hours in nursing appropriate to assigned teaching responsibilities
  • 3 years nonteaching work experience in the field
  • Current license or privilege to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Texas
