Job Summary

Cannery Hall is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Shift Cleaning Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our cleaning and maintenance staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our music venue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Housekeeping: Perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks and services throughout assigned property, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
  • Trash and Recycling: Pick up trash and empty trash containers, and ensure that recycling is properly sorted and stored.
  • Restroom Maintenance: Ensure restrooms are clean and well-stocked, and report any maintenance issues to the General Manager or other appropriate staff.
  • Shared Facilities and Common Spaces: Assist with the cleaning and sanitizing of shared facilities and common spaces, including the cleaning of windows and dusting of furniture and decor.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for prolonged periods, and be able to push, pull, and lift objects from a lower to higher position or move objects horizontally, from position to position.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, preferred.
  • Experience: One to three years' experience as a housekeeper or porter in a large, high-volume environment preferred.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Thorough understanding of safety and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions, detail-oriented and thorough, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, and good interpersonal skills with polite and courteous demeanor toward staff, guests, clients, and visitors to the property.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing and Walking: Must be able to stand, walk, and reach for prolonged periods.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry loads greater than 35 pounds and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
  • Visual and Hearing Requirements: Able to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and able to work in an environment with moderate to high noise levels.
