Position Overview:

Xanitos is currently seeking FULLTIME Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers for the first shift.
  • Immediate offers available for qualified candidates.
  • Competitive hourly pay rate of $16.50.
  • Position includes weekend and holiday shifts.
Key Responsibilities:

The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers may be assigned to various locations within the healthcare campus. Their primary role is to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all areas of the facility. The following duties are typical of this position, although additional responsibilities may be assigned based on client needs and industry standards:
  • Dust and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
  • Sweep and/or vacuum floors.
  • Dust furniture and equipment.
  • Polish metalwork.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies.
  • Transport small equipment or tools between departments.
Qualifications:
  • Flu vaccination is a requirement for employment.
  • Experience in the janitorial field is advantageous.
  • Experience in medical cleaning is a plus.
  • Post-offer medical examination, background check, and drug screening are mandatory.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

While executing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses, are essential. There may be exposure to chemicals that necessitate special clothing or safety equipment.
