Job Overview :
The Route Sales Specialist is responsible for adhering to established procedures and best business practices to maximize route potential. This role involves delivering fresh products to current customers, establishing new accounts, and managing product displays. The RSS collaborates closely with clients and supports all sales initiatives to meet expectations while overseeing customer development in terms of ordering, merchandising, and display opportunities.

Responsibilities:
· Provide vacation coverage for Route Sales Professionals and Loaders.
· Support the Sales Leadership Team with daily operations and address issues as they arise.
· Assist in training new Route Sales Professionals.
· Deliver fresh products to existing customers on open routes until new RSPs are fully trained.
· Help with rack resets.
· Collaborate with Route Sales Professionals to ensure alignment within account chains.
· Manage route operations, including ordering, distribution, merchandising, promotional activities, holiday planning, and meeting customer expectations.
· Communicate with customers to clarify promotional activities and delivery expectations.
· Ensure product distribution meets customer satisfaction in accordance with contract terms and requirements.
· Foster customer relations by promoting new products and enhancing space/position gains.
· Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve issues as they arise.
· Work location may vary based on staffing needs.
Position Requirements:
What we need from you:
· Must be at least 21 years of age.
· Valid driver's license required.
· Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
· Capability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods, along with frequent reaching and use of fingers.
· 1-3 years of relevant experience in Direct Store Delivery (DSD) is preferred.
