Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Training and Development Specialist to join our team at M&H Valve Company.

About the Role

This is a key position responsible for designing, planning, organizing, delivering, conducting, and recording training and educational programs for team members through various instructional techniques. The successful candidate will help team members learn, maintain, and improve job skills, create training aids, demonstrations, and written instruction for production and warehouse functions, and for salaried team members.

Routine maintenance of team member training records within the appropriate learning management system is also required. The specialist must ensure effective record keeping and OSHA documentation compliance. Additionally, they will apply working knowledge and experience to functional assignments, using prescribed guidelines or policies to analyze and resolve problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance department capabilities by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Display excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with team members.
  • Assist in establishing a safety-minded culture of continuous safety awareness, compliance, and visibility.
  • Support maintenance team on advanced troubleshooting and making repairs.
  • Train team members on tasks such as installing, aligning, and dismantling equipment; troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric systems; conducting general CNC maintenance tasks; reading blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Design and create training manuals, online learning modules, and course materials.
  • Create tracks of training and training matrices detailing course requirements based on position and ensure timely completion of training.
  • Construct and maintain training content, training curricula, and procedures in compliance with McWane and M&H Valve policies and procedures.
  • Monitor progress of new team members or newly transferred team members.
  • Perform all administrative duties associated with conducting training, including pre-training prep work, administering learning schedules and calendars, maintaining participant records (e.g., test scores, evaluations, and attendance).
  • Train in accordance with state and federal requirements and corporate guidelines, preserving data in accordance with McWane's Record Retention Policy.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Maintain current knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Interpret and explain policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
  • Complete special projects by clarifying project objectives, setting timelines and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information, and fulfilling transactions.
  • Collaborate with the team and adhere to a spirit of cooperation.
  • Advise Group Machine Manager of employee relations issues.
  • Exhibit a commitment to continuous learning, pursuing development activities and opportunities to obtain additional expertise and strengthen core skills, building and improving job-related knowledge and leadership skills, seeking feedback from others, and maintaining focus to continue the learning cycle.
