Position Summary:

The Retail Cannabis Specialist will report directly to the Dispensary Manager and play a vital role in the daily operations of our dispensary. This position is integral to fostering a patient-focused team and achieving the strategic objectives of iAnthus. The Retail Cannabis Specialist will uphold the policies and procedures of iAnthus while ensuring compliance with all relevant state and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with and educate patients in a welcoming and informative manner.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient intake documentation.
  • Assist in the qualification process for our Verified Financial Hardship program.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable local and state regulations.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including record-keeping and correspondence.
  • Provide timely feedback to management regarding patient experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records related to patient intake, cash handling, and waste disposal.
  • Participate in daily team meetings to align on goals and messaging.
  • Deliver exceptional and compassionate service to all patients.
  • Participate in monthly inventory assessments.

Training and Development:
  • Ensure all patients receive a warm and compassionate greeting, making every interaction a positive experience.
  • Stay informed on HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
  • Become proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and appropriate dosages.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to iAnthus policies and local laws.
  • Review and update educational materials for patients.
  • Engage in quarterly team development meetings.

Sales and Business Development:
  • Analyze daily sales and best practices to meet team objectives.
  • Receive training on patient services, including intake processes and product knowledge.
  • Participate in daily meetings to ensure consistency in messaging and goals.
  • Provide outstanding and compassionate service to all patients.

Company Culture:
  • Act as a brand ambassador for iAnthus, representing our values effectively.
  • Build relationships with community stakeholders and foster trust.
  • Embrace and implement iAnthus's core values, including respect, diversity, and sustainability.
  • Ensure adherence to the cultural principles of iAnthus.
  • Maintain the aesthetic of the dispensary in line with the iAnthus brand.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services is preferred.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math proficiency.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in computer use; experience with POS systems is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day with rotating shifts.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements such as sitting, squatting, bending, and kneeling.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to use a ladder and basic tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to fumes, dust, and noise.
