Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator Part-Time

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Vireo Health, Inc. This role is responsible for working alongside a healthcare team in a retail cannabis dispensary environment, providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the development of policies, medications, and systems in our startup team
  • Maintain an organized workflow and ensure dispensary operational requirements are met
  • Ensure patient medication safety and vigilance
  • Assist patients and families through the dispensary process, providing information and support
  • Answer questions and requests from healthcare professionals and patients, ensuring compliance with state law and regulations
  • Participate in record-keeping and reporting necessary for State compliance
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to infection-control standards
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Protect patient safety regarding cannabis medication use and provide exceptional customer service to medical cannabis patients
  • Maintain cash register and accountability for assigned drawer, completing opening/closing procedures
  • Utilize computer systems appropriately for daily operations, receiving incoming orders, shipments, and deliveries
  • Schedule appointments, assist with refilling orders and creating new patient orders/sales, utilizing different software applications
  • Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, or other methods of communication as assigned
  • Perform dispensary maintenance/cleaning duties as assigned
  • Attend staff meetings, continuing education, training, etc. as directed
Requirements:
  • Preferred experience in both clinical and retail settings
  • Demonstrated experience and impeccable interpersonal skills involved in the service industry and able to apply these to a patient population with debilitating illness
  • Experience in record keeping preferred
  • Experience as a receptionist or office manager is preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Maintains and safeguards entrusted confidential information
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and co-workers
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to function independently
  • Punctuality and responsible time management skills
  • Ability to understand, support, and implement organizational policies/procedures, along with government regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management
  • Maintains professional relationships with patients and co-workers
  • Ability to perform job duties effectively when under stress
  • Ability to multi-task when needed
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and grow with position/company

  • Must be willing to work weekends
