Role: MST Program Coordinator
Position Summary: The MST Program Coordinator is responsible for supervising a team of MST Therapists while managing an individual caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates weekly group supervision sessions for the MST team to ensure compliance with MST methodologies and analytical processes.
- Conducts individual supervision as necessary to address clinical competency requirements and to eliminate barriers to effective MST treatment implementation.
- Ensures thorough documentation of clinical activities to facilitate peer and supervisory feedback, meeting all reporting and communication obligations of funding and referral sources.
- Offers constructive and supportive feedback to clinicians to enhance client outcomes.
- Provides administrative assistance aimed at overcoming systemic obstacles to treatment success.
- Guarantees the availability of clinical and administrative support for clinicians around the clock.
- Ensures therapist accessibility to clients at optimal times to foster engagement.
- Confirms that clinicians successfully engage all key participants in the treatment process.
- Delivers direct clinical training to ensure clinician proficiency in all areas related to MST intervention implementation.
- Ensures that all assessments are comprehensive, multisystemic, and yield sufficient information to identify the causes and correlates of referral behaviors, guiding effective treatment within the ecological context.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Educational Qualifications:
A Master's degree in Social Work or a related discipline is required; a Ph.D. is preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in substance abuse treatment utilizing contingency management and pragmatic family therapies.
- Individual therapy experience with children and adults employing cognitive-behavioral techniques.
- Marital therapy experience using behaviorally-based methods.
- Behavioral therapy experience focused on school behavior and academic performance.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Understanding of family systems theory and its application.
- Knowledge of substance use/abuse theories and behavioral approaches to treatment.
- Familiarity with social ecological theory and its application.
- Insight into behavioral therapies theory and practice.
- Knowledge of cognitive-behavioral theory and its application.
- Understanding of pragmatic family therapies theory and its application.
- Proficiency in social skills assessment and intervention.
- Awareness of child development research and its relevance in treatment.
