We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Comal Independent School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the district's network infrastructure, ensuring the security and reliability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain the district's network infrastructure, including wired and wireless networks, firewalls, and other network-based appliances.
- Administer and operate the district's network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and servers.
- Monitor and analyze network performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal network operation.
- Develop and implement network security standards and protocols to protect the district's network and data.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of network services and systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve the district's network infrastructure.
- Minimum two years of experience in network administration and engineering.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
