Dialysis Revenue Cycle Director

Job Summary
The Dialysis Revenue Cycle Director will serve as a subject matter expert and have direct oversight over the revenue cycle team and accounts receivable portfolio for Dialyze Direct.
They will be responsible for the execution of strategies and tactics to improve overall revenue cycle performance while effectively utilizing staff and system resources.
The ideal candidate will identify and implement process improvement initiatives to increase cash collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Acts as a subject matter expert for their team and other leaders within the organization.
- Utilizes system reports and dashboards to develop action plans aimed at improving financial and/or operational performance.
- Creates and implements metrics for productivity and quality.
- Stays current on industry trends and changes and communicates as needed in a timely manner.
- Develops team goals and implements strategies to achieve those goals.
- Monitors staff performance and provides actionable feedback as needed but at least monthly.
- Creates team assignments and special projects, as needed, and ensures that they are completed accurately and timely.
- Interviews, hires and onboards all new direct reports. Provides supplemental training as needed when gaps are identified.
- Develops Standard Operating Procedures for all critical processes within the Revenue Cycle department and reviews and/or updates annually.
- Monitors employee performance and completes annual evaluations of direct reports.
Requirements
- 7 years minimum of medical billing and collections experience.
- 4 years minimum experience in a management role within revenue cycle.
- 2 year minimum experience in dialysis billing across multiple states preferred.
- Dialysis billing software experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills and ability to lead by example.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent problem solving skills and highly organized.
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS.
- Knowledge of medical and billing terminology.
- Knowledge of payer reimbursement policies across multiple states.
- Understanding of an Explanation of Benefits and UB04 form.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Maintains confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
- Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Certifications
Professional certifications related to revenue cycle management, such as Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP), Certified Revenue Cycle Executive (CRCE), or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) preferred.
