Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Anesthesiology Director to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Anesthesiology program, partnering with the Regional Chair of Anesthesiology to develop and implement clinical and business strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement initiatives to support current and future growth of Anesthesia services, including analyzing utilization of current Anesthesia personnel, market analysis for Anesthesiologists and CRNAs, and developing strategic initiatives to recruit Anesthesiologists and CRNAs.
  • Assist with recruitment, contracting, credentialing, and onboarding of Anesthesia personnel.
  • Assist site leadership with strategic planning and development of business plans to support business growth opportunities, including Pain Management Program and Pre-Anesthesia Evaluation and Optimization Center.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain systems to ensure accurate and comprehensive tracking of business/financial aspects of Anesthesiology services, including billing processes, revenue enhancement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance and fulfillment of Anesthesiology group contracts, reconcile financial obligations, and manage departmental budget and resources effectively.
  • Manage relationships with 3rd party vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure vendors meet program needs.
  • Support Chair, Program Director, and Program Coordinator in all aspects of the Anesthesiology Residency Program, including fostering a positive learning environment, assisting with resource acquisition, and ensuring continued accreditation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business/operations/finance or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership or program management experience in acute care or medical group environment.
  • Minimum 5 years leadership role in Anesthesiology program.
  • Experience with 3rd party vendor management, complex billing procedures, and quality metrics reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop residency programs, excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
