Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Healthcare Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle management team, you will work closely with clients to identify areas of improvement, develop customized solutions, and implement practical changes to enhance their financial performance.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with clients to understand their current state of revenue cycle management and establish strong relationships built on trust and credibility.
- Analyze data, conduct client interviews, and visit offices to observe systems, processes, and policies firsthand.
- Identify and catalog problems, challenges, risks, and opportunities, creating reports and presentations to communicate findings.
- Work with clients to define future state requirements for tools, systems, and processes, recommending design improvements or championing the selection of alternative systems.
- Develop performance metrics and construct reports to effectively represent current state and desired future state.
- Develop and evaluate alternative strategies to achieve specific savings objectives.
- Create and utilize workplans to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks with a high sense of urgency across one or more workstreams.
- Manage project resources in a team environment as needed.
- Background in healthcare and expertise in healthcare operations, including revenue cycle management.
- Proven success in optimizing a facility's ability to deliver high-quality care to patients efficiently and cost-effectively, and improving patient outcomes.
- 3+ years of management consulting, advisory, professional services, industry, and/or hands-on supervisory experience, including coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
- Proven critical thinking skills in data collection and complex analysis, with the ability to identify data gaps and risks, develop sound conclusions, and create implementable and sustainable recommendations for improvement.
- An entrepreneurial mindset to collaborate with project team members/clients to design and implement effective solutions to complex business problems, continuously evaluating to uncover new opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create communications that tell the story and effectively deliver presentations of content in a customer-facing forum.
- Business process mapping to document current and potential future state, using a mapping software such as MS Visio, etc.
- Exemplary skills across the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to create Pivot Tables.
- Demonstrated ability to apply statistical analysis tools to drive objective decisions and outcomes for a client.
This position will be based in New Jersey, with 50% remote work and 50% travel to the New Jersey/New York City area.
