Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Reception Specialist to join our team at Orthopedic Physicians Alaska Inc. As a Reception Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service to patients, answering their calls, scheduling appointments, and addressing their concerns.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and complete prior authorizations as needed.
  • Educate patients on their insurance coverage limits and options.
  • Work closely with the billing and other departments to ensure seamless communication and service.
  • Schedule appointments, manage data entry, and collect deposits and co-pays.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six months of customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree.
  • One year of customer service experience in a medical setting.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and/or pre-certification tasks.
