Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at OrthoAlaska LLC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in podiatry and excellent clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical exams and assess patient health status
  • Order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, and treat illnesses and conditions
  • Consult with physicians as needed and refer to physicians for more complicated medical cases
  • Monitor therapies and provide continuity of care
  • Triage patient calls and evaluate patient problems
  • Respond to emergencies, including use of CPR
  • Counsel patients and families on preventive health care
  • Document patient information and care in medical records

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and successful completion of an accredited physician assistant program
  • Four years of healthcare experience prior to applying to PA program
  • One year of experience as a PA, preferably in a clinical setting
  • National PA-C certification
