Medical Assistant Clinical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our Orthopedic Physicians Alaska team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to the scope of practice of a Medical Assistant
Room patients, take vital signs, and document patient visits in electronic health record system
Ensure exam rooms are appropriately stocked, cleaned, and maintained for patient visits
Comply with HIPAA, confidentiality, and state laws
Answer patient calls and follow up with patients
Assist with patient scheduling as needed
Effectively communicate with patients, providers, and staff
Maintain a professional presence
Report concerns to appropriate staff members
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
One year of clinical experience working as a Medical Assistant or completion of externship in a medical office
Certified Medical Assistant through the AAMA or Registered Medical Assistant through the AMT or
Licensed Practical Nurse certification PLUS two years of clinical experience
