Job Summary:

Leidos is seeking a Network Engineer to work on projects supporting the Department of Defense networks. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of network equipment.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of network hardware equipment specifications, configuration, and testing processes, as well as experience in network engineering, problem management, and performance management.

Additionally, the candidate will have a strong understanding of networking architecture and experience with data and voice network design, as well as knowledge of network services, network appliances, and network systems analysis.

The successful candidate will also possess strong written and verbal communication skills and an active Secret security clearance and DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of network equipment
  • Customer coordination, IT&A, and data input associated with new network equipment and service activations
  • Configuration and maintenance of DISA's out-of-band management network
  • Upgrade software on Cisco and Juniper devices
  • Perform systems analysis techniques and procedures

Requirements:

  • BS degree with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience
  • May possess a Doctorate in technical domain
