We are currently seeking a Fleet Operations Specialist.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with our commercial vehicle operators to guarantee the safe and efficient functioning of self-driving vehicles.
Your responsibilities will include preparing for vehicle journeys, monitoring vehicle conditions, documenting events, providing essential information to the operators, and supporting the fleet and operational teams.
Your responsibilities will include:- Collaborating with Waabi engineers to set up vehicle systems for both manual and autonomous operations.
- Observing vehicle system performance from the front right seat during trips.
- Documenting on-road occurrences during journeys to enhance the performance of the autonomous vehicle system.
- Supplying vehicle system details to the operator for comprehensive monitoring of vehicle behavior.
- Working with the operations team to ensure effective and timely communication among operators, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Assisting the operations team with vehicle system inspections, maintenance, and record-keeping.
- Ensuring a safe and organized work environment at the facility.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous experience in a related field, such as logistics or operations, is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Willingness to travel.
- A collaborative team player with an open-minded approach and a readiness to assist others.
- Enthusiasm for supporting a dynamic, high-growth environment.
- A passion for contributing to an organization focused on self-driving technologies.
- This position does not involve driving and does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- The role requires sitting in a vehicle for extended periods, with occasional breaks for rest and meals.
- The Fleet Operations Specialist may need to work some weekends or holidays to support operations.
- Travel may be necessary to assist with out-of-area vehicle operations.
- Comfort with late-night and weekend shifts is expected.
