AWS Workforce Planning Engineer

About the Role: In this role, you will work closely with senior leaders, product managers, and engineers to create one-year and three-year workforce plans that align with AWS' operational cycles. You will leverage your technical knowledge to invent, evolve, improve, and simplify workforce planning methodologies, data sources, and practices. Your strong business and technical judgment will guide decisions and drive results.
What You'll Do: Some of your key responsibilities will include:
• Developing large-scale workforce planning efforts that solve complex problems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and develop cloud-based solutions
• Leading system and architecture design to ensure scalability and reliability
• Advocating for workforce programs and influencing teams to dedicate resources
• Capturing metrics to measure success and influence stakeholders
Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, along with 5+ years of professional software development experience. You must have advanced knowledge of software programming languages, version control systems, testing frameworks, and Agile development methodologies. Experience with cloud services, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, is also required. A Master's degree in CS or an engineering discipline is preferred.
Compensation: The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market.
