Energy Efficiency Inspector Position

Tacoma Energy is a leading provider of energy certifications and analysis services for single and multi-family homes. We are seeking an experienced Energy Efficiency Inspector to join our team.

This role involves conducting site inspections to identify areas of air leakage or duct system leakage, sealing whole house air leakage, and performing repairs as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

The estimated salary for this position is $22-$26 per hour, based on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer healthcare benefits, holiday pay, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inspections to identify areas of air leakage or duct system leakage
  • Seal whole house air leakage using specialized equipment
  • Perform repairs as needed to ensure a tight seal
  • Service and repair spray pumps as needed
  • Travel throughout the Louisville area daily to perform site inspections

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Pass background check, including driving record
  • Previous experience in HVAC or related fields preferred
  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and building codes
  • New home construction experience a plus
  • Ability to handle physical workload and work at heights
