This position involves performing volume measurements, temperature measurements, sampling, calculations, documentation, and reporting to ensure customers receive an independent, accurate, and complete assessment of quantity and quality of material. Travel is expected for this role, with at least 75% of time spent on the road.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform specified methodology duties, including volume measurement, temperature measurement, and sampling of commodity materials.
  • Conduct visual inspections of lines, pumps, manifolds, shore tanks, rail cars, tank trucks, barges, and ships.
  • Complete custody transfer surveys of commodities transferred to and from rail cars, tank trucks, shore tanks, barges, and ships.
  • Verify and communicate results obtained, making entries into appropriate media.
  • Provide on-the-job assistance and receive training from experienced inspectors.
  • Communicate and coordinate with terminal, transport, and Company personnel to promote smooth exercise of duties assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record (required).
  • Able to work on an on-call basis.
  • No fear of heights.
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs for shore tanks.
  • Detailed-oriented and able to prioritize workload efficiently.
  • Effective communication and interaction skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting, walking, standing, reaching, bending, stooping, climbing, squatting, and driving.

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
