COMPENSATION: $21.00-$22.00 per hour. The Food & Beverage Operations Supervisor is tasked with managing the service quality in the Food & Beverage areas, specifically focusing on the Market and Bakery as well as the Pool service. This role involves supporting the management team in training, motivating, and guiding staff members, while also providing assistance in other food and beverage locations as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold the organization's service philosophy - the 4 Keys to creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Actively engage in the team member referral initiative and serve as a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort and Spa.
  • Participate in all mandatory meetings and training sessions as dictated by the resort.
  • Maintain exemplary standards of personal grooming and appearance, including appropriate uniform and nametag.
  • Lead the service operations in the Market, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Train new team members as necessary.
  • Ensure that work areas are adequately stocked and prepare requisitions as needed.
  • Keep workspaces tidy and organized.
  • Oversee quality control of all menus regarding cleanliness and presentation.
  • Assist with Pool service during peak seasons and other outlets as required.
  • Ensure that outdoor tables are cleared in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate proper check settlements and provide prompt service to guests.
  • Monitor food quality consistently.
  • Ensure effective communication with incoming shifts.
  • Address guest complaints or special requests, escalating to management when necessary.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to assess service standards and encourage upselling.
  • Evaluate staffing levels and adjust according to business needs.
  • Possess knowledge of California state liquor and food service regulations.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction is achieved.
  • Comply with all resort policies and safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Prior supervisory experience in a café setting is preferred.
  • In accordance with California regulations, Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handlers Certification are mandatory.
Work Environment and Schedule
  • Flexibility in working hours is required, with long hours occasionally necessary.
  • Medium physical demands - ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to stand and work for extended periods during regular service hours is essential.
  • Must be capable of bending, stooping, or reaching as required.
  • This position requires operation of a golf cart.
