Job Title: Senior Contracts Specialist - Cleared Contractor
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Specialist to join our team at Innova Solutions. As a Senior Contracts Specialist, you will be responsible for influencing successful business outcomes, providing business, contractual, and risk mitigation strategy guidance, and analyzing new laws, regulations, and contract trends for potential impact on business unit goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Influences successful business outcomes in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new and continuing programs.
- Provides business, contractual, and risk mitigation strategy guidance to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures.
- Analyzes new laws, regulations, and contract trends for potential impact on business unit goals and objectives.
- Protects the interest of the company by understanding and interpreting contractual terms and conditions.
- Utilizes working knowledge of regulations including Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g. DFARS), and other agency regulations.
- Analyzes significant and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures.
- Manages the contractual review of solicitations, proposal development, contract change control process, and overall contract administration.
- Establishes and maintains primary contractual interface with the customer.
- Maximizes cash through innovative contract formation and negotiation to achieve business objectives.
- Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management.
- Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight.
- Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
- Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.
- Contributes to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of regulations including Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g. DFARS), and other agency regulations.
- Bachelors Degree with Contract Experience.
- Strong vocabulary and Contracts knowledge.
- Technical change management is helpful.
- Senior professional with strong knowledge of job area and broad knowledge of project management.
- Applies skills to makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.
- Negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PeopleSoft.
