Job Summary:

The Surgical Clinical Innovation Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the Advanced Clinical and Innovation Team in creating and executing advanced trainings for surgical products. This includes supporting the development of ExCEL product case coverage, cross-functional collaboration, and participation in ExCEL process execution for product and program needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation and execution of advanced trainings for surgical products
  • Develop and maintain ExCEL product case coverage
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of ExCEL process
  • Participate in the development and execution of new product, product enhancement, and new indication launch strategies
  • Provide clinical support and case coverage for research products and first-in-man studies
  • Assist in the identification, coordination, and execution of ExCEL launch trainings and curriculum development
  • Support the voice of customers (VOC) and innovation suites, and major tradeshows
  • Execute ExCEL clinical launch plan US and globally
  • Conduct on-boarding activities and training of new team members
  • Conduct continuing education for Abiomed Field Team
  • Execute quarterly MBOs to align with cross-functional team and commercial business needs
  • Create and review clinical and clinical marketing content
  • Coordinate and communicate IFU updates with the Global Content Manager
  • Develop and execute advanced training programs
  • Align with global partners to standardize advanced training initiatives

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience as an Advanced Surgical Consultant or minimum of 4 years of Abiomed Field Team experience or previous surgical theater experience with high volume Impella 5
  • ExCEL launch experience preferred
  • Proficiency with productivity tools and portal technology (Veeva Vault, Salesforce, Concur, Tableau, Cornerstone, OnDemand, Workday, SharePoint) a plus
