Montage Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician I, you will assist in pharmacy activities not requiring a pharmacist's professional judgment. This includes compiling and/or maintaining patient medication profiles, calling prescriber's offices or pharmacies for verification of medication records, and communicating directly to hospital patients and/or their families or representatives. You will also be responsible for data entry into pharmacy computer systems.
Responsibilities:
Assist in pharmacy activities not requiring a pharmacist's professional judgment
Compile and/or maintain patient medication profiles
Call prescriber's offices or pharmacies for verification of medication records
Communicate directly to hospital patients and/or their families or representatives
Data entry into pharmacy computer systems
Requirements:
At least three years pharmacy technician experience preferred
Education as required for State of California Pharmacy Technician licensure
State of California Pharmacy Technician license or undergraduate California Pharmacist Intern license is required
National Pharmacy Technician Certification is preferred and required in the first year of employment
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is preferred and required within the first six months
