Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner to join our team as the Alternate Director of Nursing. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Director of Nursing in their duties, including training and supervising our clinical staff, admitting and caring for new clients, and ensuring top-level care is provided while maintaining compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Be on call every other week to share supervisory responsibilities with the Director of Nursing, and participate in the contingency plan for 24/7 clients
- Serve as a backup RN for call outs, vacations, etc.
- Admit new clients to the agency and complete recertifications as necessary, utilizing OASIS assessments
- Train and educate the clinical team
- Perform other duties as discussed or assigned
- Current license as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner in the state of Colorado; a Baccalaureate degree is preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience in home care, and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, coordinate, and direct clinical personnel
- Knowledge of business management, Medicare and Medicaid, and ACHC requirements is preferred
- BLS certified
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to market and relate tactfully with clients and other members of the community
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements
