Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering and design of HVAC systems for commercial structures, emphasizing energy efficiency and system optimization.
  • Conduct comprehensive energy evaluations and savings calculations, identifying and implementing effective Energy Conservation Measures.
  • Oversee a variety of projects, including MEP design, commissioning, retro-commissioning, energy audits, and troubleshooting of building operations.

Essential Duties:

  • Focus on Mechanical Engineering and Design in the commercial, healthcare, and federal HVAC sectors.
  • Assist in the development and design of mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection construction documents for new and renovated buildings.
  • Possess a strong understanding of Mechanical Engineering Design and improvements for large-scale commercial and federal HVAC systems.
  • Work under the guidance of senior management from project inception through to construction completion.
  • Engage in engineering design and drafting, specification writing, cost estimating, field investigations, and construction site visits.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits, support energy savings calculations, and develop cost estimates for energy conservation measures.
  • Assist in the design of mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for new construction and retrofits.
  • Support studies and analyses of mechanical and plumbing systems, documenting conditions and proposing cost-effective solutions.
  • Research and apply current technologies, staying updated on advancements in the field.
  • Perform building load calculations and energy modeling using industry-standard software.
  • Travel as required for project-related activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial HVAC systems design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP Software, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience in MEP (HVAC) Design and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Effective collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve project goals.
  • Familiarity with building mechanical systems and strong leadership capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and technical writing skills.
  • Proficient in computer software for documentation and analysis.
