The Director of Philanthropic Development is responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive annual giving program to increase donor acquisition and retention at La Salle University. Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Plan and implement a comprehensive annual giving program targeting alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, and friends.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage annual giving and alumni engagement budgets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage key constituents in fundraising and engagement efforts.
  • Team Leadership: Hire staff to support annual giving and alumni engagement.
  • Donor Cultivation: Create strategies to cultivate and steward donors using various outreach initiatives.
  • Strategic Alignment: Coordinate annual fundraising strategy with other departments.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research to design and administer direct mail appeal programs.
Program Delivery:
  • Execution and Monitoring: Guide execution of direct mail, personal solicitations, and other outreach initiatives.
  • Content Creation: Create and monitor content and timeline for direct mail solicitations.
  • Marketing Materials: Develop marketing collateral for fundraising appeals and initiatives.
  • Partnerships: Coordinate with various departments to develop engagement programs.
  • Communication: Create communication vehicles to keep alumni informed about University priorities.
  • Alignment: Work with Alumni Association to align programs with University goals.
  • Evaluation: Monitor impact of annual giving activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Support and Collaboration: Support other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of three years experience in fundraising or related field.
  • Skills: Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills.
  • Leadership: Ability to work cooperatively and provide direction to others.
  • Initiative: Openness to new ideas and an initiative-driven mindset.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Commitment: Strong drive for success and commitment to the University's mission.
