About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Suppression Technician to join our team at SMS Mining Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing various mobile suppression systems in accordance with AS5062 Standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and service mobile suppression systems to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Perform fault diagnosis, maintenance, and installation of Fire Suppression systems
  • Install various mobile fire suppression systems
  • Assist with machine audits/inspections
  • Develop and maintain fire equipment registers, inspection test reports, and documentation
Requirements
  • Previous experience working on heavy mining equipment fire suppression systems
  • Maintenance and installation experience within a mining environment
  • Experience performing Level 1 + 2 service on Mobile Suppression Systems
  • Experience and understanding of a variety of Mobile Suppression Systems
  • Working knowledge of AS1851-2012 and AS5062 Standards
  • Certificate II in Fire Protection and Testing
  • Valid "MR" or "HR" Drivers Licence
