Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Department Manager to oversee the daily operations of our production departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the direction of all production departments, ensuring the quality of our products, and leading teams to achieve monthly production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the coordination of daily operations to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Manager to maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve product quality and reduce defects.
  • Lead teams to achieve monthly production goals and objectives.
  • Motivate team members to maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Conduct regular supervisor/department manager meetings to discuss production issues and goals.
  • Work closely with the plant scheduler and purchaser to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
  • Review daily production issues with the Plant Manager and develop solutions to improve production efficiency.
  • Assist with the hiring process of production employees and provide training and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating/Design/ Customer Service teams to ensure accurate production routing and scheduling.
  • Oversee the development, training, and performance of production employees.
Requirements
  • Should have experience in negotiating freight rates, determining size and weight limitations of trailers, and working with multiple personnel in plant and office.
  • Ability to schedule staff to meet production needs and ensure efficient use of resources.
