POSITION SUMMARY:
The Collections Specialist plays a crucial role in managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely payment collection. This position requires a blend of analytical and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and resolve outstanding balances.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS | EDUCATION:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 3-8 years in a similar role.
KEY SKILLS:
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Active listening skills.
- Thorough documentation of accounts.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to interpret explanations of benefits (EOB).
- Proficient analytical skills essential for a collections role.
- Familiarity with various tools and systems.
- Customer service orientation.
- Ability to maintain positive, long-term relationships with clients and payers.
- Effective time management skills.
- Consistent attendance is essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute significantly to achieving monthly collection goals.
