POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to enhance our Remote Plasma Sources engineering team.
The successful candidate will engage in applied research, design, development, testing, and documentation of products or systems.
This role involves close collaboration with fellow engineers and technicians to ensure that system specifications are met and that products function as intended.
Key responsibilities include hands-on lab work for assembling and testing remote plasma units, as well as troubleshooting prototype units.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of RF systems, products, and subsystems/circuits, adhering to specifications, budget, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Support the design and testing of DC switching power supplies.
- Diagnose diverse issues related to design, field performance, reliability, and test yields, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct experiments and product testing alongside a multidisciplinary design team.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal materials teams to create manufacturable and reliable designs.
- Utilize RF hybrid modules and components in high-power RF systems.
- Coordinate with engineering teams in various locations.
- Occasionally engage with customers to address product performance requirements.
- Adhere to key engineering procedures, including the Product Development Process and ECO process.
- Document designs and validate them in the intended use environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires work in both a standard office setting and a lab/clean room environment. Occasional travel (up to 10%) may be necessary for customer and vendor interactions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read, comprehend, and modify schematics for RF and analog circuits, along with modeling RF circuits.
- Familiarity with PCBA layout principles as they apply to RF circuits and DC switching power supplies.
- Proven capability in designing and specifying components for high-power RF circuit applications.
- Self-sufficient with minimal supervision.
- Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced lab environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
EXPERIENCE:
0-5 years of engineering experience, particularly in RF PCBA design.
EDUCATION:
A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a focus on RF or Power Electronics (or a related field).
