Job Summary:

Community Counseling Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Dispatcher to join our team. As a Crisis Dispatcher, you will provide culturally competent and appropriate behavioral health treatment to individuals in crisis, working closely with other community partners to ensure prompt and thorough services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals in crisis, utilizing various clinical techniques and skills to gather client information and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Establish short-term goals with clients, provide follow-up services as needed, and make appropriate referrals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Collaborate with community agencies and providers to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients, including home visits and outreach services.
  • Thoroughly screen referrals to ensure proper utilization of Outpatient Services and arrange for hospitalization or emergency/temporary placement as necessary.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and other agencies, providing consultation services and facilitating joint case planning and coordination.
  • Work effectively with clients, families, and team members to establish trust and promote positive outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in crisis intervention and behavioral health.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral sciences field, nursing, or occupational therapy from an accredited college and licensed by the State of Oregon.
  • High school diploma and three years of equivalent training and work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Oregon QMHA certification within six months of hire.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, work independently, and complete designated tasks and assignments in a thorough and timely fashion.
  • Knowledge of symptoms and challenges faced by individuals with mental illness and addictions, as well as relevant OARs.
