Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex nuclear medicine procedures, including general imaging, nuclear cardiology in-vitro tests, SPECT, and all necessary aspects of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review all requisitions before performing studies on patients, verifying patient identification with corresponding request.
  • Attain required approval and signature by nuclear medicine physicians.
  • Calibrate all machines daily to ensure proper functioning, prepare radio-pharmacy preparations, and perform calibration of doses before administering to patients.
  • Document doses administered to patients on log sheets and individual patient folders.
  • Ensure completed studies are reviewed by Resident or Attending Staff before patient departure from the department.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • Current New York State License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) and/or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Previous nuclear medicine technology experience preferred.
