Job Description

**Position Overview**

Under general supervision, the Instructional Aide provides support to instructors in delivering education and training to technical college students. The successful candidate will assist faculty with laboratory and classroom management, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor students in the learning environment and provide guidance as needed
  • Assist faculty with laboratory and classroom setup, safety, and management
  • Maintain and clean classroom and laboratory spaces
  • Monitor and maintain classroom/lab supplies and equipment
  • Provide substitute teaching coverage as needed
Requirements

**Minimum Qualifications**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Documented working knowledge of safety practices in a classroom/lab setting

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Documented teaching experience at a secondary or post-secondary level in a CTAE discipline
  • Documented teaching or learning experience in a telepresence learning environment
Benefits

**Compensation and Benefits**

The projected annual gross salary for this position is $15 per hour. Part-time positions are not eligible for TRS or ERS retirement benefits, state insurance, leave, or holiday pay.
