Job Title: Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

LHC Group is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary:

The Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to patients in their homes, with the goal of restoring their physical abilities and improving their quality of life. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will provide occupational therapy services to patients in their homes, following a treatment plan that is tailored to their individual needs.
  • You will instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment, using your expertise and knowledge to help them achieve their goals.
  • You will observe, record, and report patient progress to the supervising OT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician, ensuring that all necessary information is shared to provide comprehensive care.
  • You will work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to coordinate care and ensure that patients receive the best possible outcomes.
  • You will instruct patients, family members, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals in the areas of therapy, using your expertise to educate and empower them.
  • You will visit patients in their homes, providing care and support as needed, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Current OTA licensure in the state of employment
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation
