About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications Director to lead our North America Communications team. As a key member of our Global Communications organization, you will be responsible for shaping the narrative and driving compelling stories to define and elevate the Converse brand and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive Communications strategies to position Converse as a forward-thinking company redefining how today's youth interacts with brands.
  • Oversee the creation and drive of compelling stories and campaigns to define and elevate the brand and our leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform strategic planning, particularly Marketing (for Consumer Comms), the Geography and Territory GMs (for Employee Comms), and other key North America functional leaders (for Corporate Comms).
  • Develop and execute media messaging, including brand, athlete, influencer, and crisis communications.
  • Manage the NA Comms team and develop direct team members as rounded individuals, building career paths, identifying development opportunities, coaching, and providing feedback.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience and experience as a people manager.
  • Previous experience working with consumer and brand-focused companies is preferred, but not required.
  • Self-starter with the ability to create personal and professional stretch goals and meet them.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Curiosity, flexibility, and creative thinking.
