Key Responsibilities- Procedure Performance: Perform diagnostic procedures according to established policy and procedure, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory standards.
- Radiopharmaceutical Administration: Administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with all applicable standards, ensuring patient safety and minimizing radiation exposure.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and accurate diagnosis.
- Quality Control: Participate in quality control activities, including daily reconciliation of open order reports and proper disposal of radioactive materials.
- Licensure and Certification: Licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- Education and Experience: Minimum new graduate from an accredited nuclear medicine program or equivalent experience.
