As the Regional Communication Specialist, you will deliver exceptional speech therapy services across various locations within your designated region.

Your responsibilities will include evaluating students, designing and executing tailored therapy programs, tracking progress, and collaborating with educational teams to enhance students' communication abilities and overall development.


This position operates under the guidance of the Area/Regional Vice President and onsite Program Directors to maintain the highest standards of clinical practice across multiple educational settings.

‖ Key Responsibilities Include:

Assessing students within designated programs to identify speech therapy requirements and appropriate service levels.

Creating and implementing individualized speech therapy plans based on evaluations, student needs, and treatment objectives.

Setting personalized goals in partnership with parents, educators, and other relevant stakeholders.


Regularly reviewing and assessing student progress towards therapy objectives and updating treatment plans as necessary to address the developmental and individual needs of each student, providing periodic reviews and progress reports to the treatment team and families.


Delivering direct speech and language therapy to students, utilizing evidence-based methods and techniques to enhance speech, communication skills, language comprehension, and cognitive abilities tailored to the individual age-appropriate needs of each child in their natural environment.

Documenting therapy sessions and progress notes accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and state regulations.


Maintaining comprehensive case records in accordance with organizational policy and state regulations, ensuring all authorized documentation, including billing, is completed accurately within 24 hours of service delivery.

Encouraging effective communication with families regarding session scheduling, make-up sessions, and progress updates.


Collaborating with educators, parents, and related service providers to promote consistency and integration of therapy goals into daily routines and educational activities.

Actively participating in onsite multidisciplinary team meetings and regional conferences to discuss student progress and treatment recommendations.


Providing clinical guidance and support to onsite program teams within the assigned region, offering strategies to assist with the integration of therapy goals.


Mentoring and supporting onsite educators and staff within each program location as needed to ensure effective implementation of student therapy plans.

Conducting and/or overseeing the timely completion of initial client intakes and clinical assessments and providing recommendations for program enhancements.


Overseeing and evaluating the implementation of speech therapy programs across all locations within the assigned region to ensure clinical effectiveness, adherence to best practices, and that performance measures are being met.


Maintaining clinical quality standards by providing supervision, opportunities for employee training, and sharing clinical knowledge and/or counsel with the clinical team.


Building rapport with clients, caregivers, and families to provide support and improve the likelihood of optimal outcomes.

Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in speech pathology and educational practices.


Traveling between and maintaining an appropriate onsite presence to provide oversight and direct services for all locations within the assigned region. Overnight travel may be required on occasion.


Performing additional duties and/or projects as assigned by the onsite Program Directors or the Area/Regional VP.

‖ Required Qualifications:

Master's degree or higher in speech pathology or a closely related field.

Must currently hold or have the ability to obtain a state speech language pathology (SLP) license.

A valid state driver's license is required for travel between locations.


Prior experience working with students with diverse needs in an educational setting and proven success in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.

Advanced motivational, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.

Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and new initiatives.

Highly effective oral and written communication skills.


Proficient in the use of relevant technology, including experience with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry, and basic office equipment.
