Job Title: Business Development Representative

Job Summary:

The Business Development Representative will play a key role in driving profitable sales growth by developing, maintaining, and advancing accounts through regular customer contact. This position reports to the Director of Sales.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service and resolving customer relations problems.
  • Seek out new business opportunities through outbound sales calls to new and existing customers.
  • Ensure assigned customers understand and know how to utilize our technologies and grow technology adoption and usage rates.
  • Use sales and account management processes to consult with customers and increase their knowledge of our products and programs.
  • Communicate effectively both externally and internally.
  • Utilize Salesforce software to document and plan activities.
  • Assess clients' needs, recommend, or assist in the selection of appropriate goods or services, and negotiate prices or other sales terms.
  • Develop sales presentations, proposals, or other materials to illustrate benefits from use of goods or services.
  • Attend training classes to acquire the skills to meet our customers' needs and expectations.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma required.
  • Knowledge of HVACR terminology and HVACR product knowledge is a plus.
  • Demonstrated performance history in sales new market development.
  • Proven success in meeting sales goals with ability to analyze and interpret sales and market data.
  • Solid business/problem solving skills with the focus on customer service.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Salesforce, and other web-based applications.

  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate on all levels within internal and external groups.
  • Excellent customer service mindset with the ability to develop long-term relationships.
  • Excellent analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data.
  • Strong and creative sourcing ideas, and the ability to conduct consultative sales presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proactively seeks continuous process and service improvements.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, or walk, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to utilize a computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
